Shopping for a new pipe, papers or a little something new to get your smoke on can be a kind of a head-ache. Smelly incense, unwelcoming vibes and poor curation add up to a covert mission that we just don't want to go on. Thanks to Catchtilly, that mission can be put to bed. Their selection of hand-made pipes, small-batch apothecary, flavored rolling papers (strawberry!) and zines make shopping for paraphernalia the treat it should be.
We're so psyched to have Catchtilly, helmed by Amanda Farris of Sister Coffee and Laura Uhlir of Olive, as one of our sponsors. Read on to get to know these two babes and stay tuned for more sponsor profiles!
Feliz: Why a head shop? What sparked it? Pun intended.
Amanda: We started Catchtilly because we wanted to shop there! We were tired of settling for what was available and wanted to be able to go into a store that was quite literally made for us.
Laura: What she said! We're so happy to offer folks a place to shop smoke related goods that isn't sketchy or sexist or crummy. We both found head shops to be pretty miserable but we didn't have any other options. Now you can shop at Catchtilly and know all your goods were carefully curated and made by artisans.
Feliz: You guys both own other businesses, right? What's it like juggling both - do you have any secrets?
Amanda: I am lucky enough to have great humans as partners in both businesses, Sister and Catchtilly, so above all I would say that's the secret. And really enjoying being busy, really busy, ha.
Laura: I too have a great partners in all my projects: Catchtilly, Olive and Feliz. I am certainly inclined towards working independently (blame it on the Virgo in me) but having smart, talented women around to lean on, bounce ideas off of and work with keeps me engaged and excited. My secret: insomnia.
Feliz: Favorites: thing in the shop? snack? stoner movie? Clearly we're planning to team all three up for a perfect chill sesh.
Amanda: Lilah Sheperd chillums. Yoghurt covered pretzels and green juice. Mr. Show. I'm trading in a movie for a TV show, but it's HBO so that still counts, right?
Laura: Our Miwak Pebble Pipe. Sea salt dark chocolate and red wine. Tried and true, Big Lebowski.
